Katie is not only a music educator but she is also a children's musician who has written over one hundred original songs.

Katie loves to share her original songs in her classes and she is pleased to have had two opportunities to record them. Both albums were produced and engineered by Jay Esplana. Her first EP, the self titled "Ginger and Snap" was recorded in 2018 when she was one half part of the duo "Ginger and Snap" with her good friend Susan Cummings.
