MUSICAL WALKS WITH KATIE BROCK
2023 Musical Walks begin again on Thursday May 4th. Registration for the Spring Session opens March 1, 2023 through the West Vancouver Rec Centre. Check back here soon for details about summer walks.
Come with your baby, toddler or preschooler and sing along with Katie and her guitar on a musical nature walk! This is a music class unlike any your family has experienced before. This magical forest adventure is a fun family activity that combines the great outdoors with making music as a community group.
Walks take place at a different West Vancouver park location each class. Katie leads an exploration of easy short forest or park trails that are suitable for young children. There is always something new to discover each walk! Sing along with Katie as she enthusiastically shares her catchy original tunes as well as traditional children’s songs. The group will make short stops to notice the plants, trees, bugs and wildlife all around!! Take some time to enjoy the fresh air and simply breathe, sing, and be present in this community music making experience. Enthusiastic parent and caregiver participation is highly encouraged! Walks run rain or shine, but on very wet days we will meet in the undercover area at the Gleneagles Community Centre or in the undercover picnic are at Whytecliff Park. Specific park locations and meeting points will be emailed to registered participants one week before the term begins. Location changes due to weather are emailed out morning of the scheduled walk.

"My kids love Katie's music and we follow her wherever her music classes are! It's a lot of fun to watch her perform and we enjoy the sense of humour in her songs. What surprised me most is that my then two year old imitated everything Katie did and fell in love with his ukulele and has been "playing" with it enthusiastically just like a pro, just like Katie!"
